About Troop 380

About Our Troop

Troop 380 was established in 1992 is chartered in Plano, Texas and is in the Chisholm Trail District of The Boy Scouts of America Circle Ten Council.

Troop 380 is a Scout led troop where the Scouts take the lead in planning and conducting meetings, trips, and other events. Our scouts are always willing to lend a hand and they serve our community through a variety of service projects throughout Plano including dozens of large scale Eagle Scout projects over the last several years. The Troop is supported by a diverse group of adult leaders, all of whom are passionate about the values and goals of Scouting.

Our troop provides a safe yet challenging environment for scouts to learn through both successes and failures. Every scout is encouraged to participate in leadership roles whether as Patrol leaders, Quartermaster, Troop Guides or Instructors. Through these roles, they develop accountability and know the value of preparedness, and along the way, become role models for those younger.

We are active year-round and have monthly campouts. Some camping themes include water sports, hiking, and shooting sports. Camping locations are usually located within 3 hours drive. Week-long Summer camps in the past few years have gone to South Dakota, New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona.
